BARREL PUMP WARRANTY POLICY

Effective Date: September 2026

This warranty policy applies exclusively to barrel pumps / drum pumps manufactured and/or supplied by Ambica Machine Tools. It covers eligible manufacturing and workmanship defects under normal use and within the product's specified operating conditions.

1. Standard Warranty Period

The warranty period is subject to any different period expressly confirmed in writing in the quotation, order confirmation, or product documentation for the specific barrel pump.

2. Scope of Warranty

If inspection confirms that a barrel pump has a manufacturing or workmanship defect covered by this policy, Ambica Machine Tools may, at its discretion, repair the affected pump or component, replace the defective component, or provide another appropriate corrective solution.

All claims are subject to technical inspection and verification by Ambica Machine Tools. Replacement parts will generally be covered only for the remaining period of the original warranty, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Important Exclusion: Motor and Electrical Components

The motor and related components are not covered under this barrel pump warranty. This exclusion includes, where fitted, the electric motor, wiring, cables, switches, starter, control panel, electrical accessories, and other electrical components. Any warranty that may apply to a third-party motor or electrical component is subject to the original manufacturer's terms and must be confirmed separately in writing.

4. Conditions for Warranty Applicability

The warranty applies only when the barrel pump:

• Has been installed and used according to the supplied instructions;
• Has been operated within the specified flow, head, speed, temperature, and other operating limits;
• Has been used with a liquid chemically compatible with the pump's wetted materials;
• Has been properly handled, cleaned, stored, and maintained; and
• Has not been dismantled, modified, or repaired by an unauthorized person.

5. Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover damage, failure, or deterioration caused by:

• Normal wear and tear or consumable parts;
• Dry running, cavitation, blockage, inadequate suction, or improper operation;
• Use with incompatible chemicals, liquids, or operating conditions;
• Operation beyond the pump's specified limits;
• Incorrect installation, handling, storage, cleaning, or maintenance;
• Accidents, impact, dropping, mishandling, or transportation after delivery;
• Unauthorized dismantling, alteration, repair, or use of non-approved parts; or
• Damage to the motor or related electrical components, which are excluded as stated above.

6. Warranty Claim Procedure

Contact Ambica Machine Tools as soon as a suspected defect is identified. Please provide the purchase invoice or order reference, pump model, installation date, a description of the issue, operating conditions, and photographs or videos where available.

Do not dismantle or repair the affected pump before receiving instructions from Ambica Machine Tools. The pump or component may need to be returned for technical inspection.

7. Inspection and Warranty Decision

All claims are assessed after inspection. If the issue is determined to be a covered manufacturing or workmanship defect, the applicable corrective action will be decided by Ambica Machine Tools. If the issue is not covered, repair or replacement may be offered at a quoted charge, where possible.

8. Transportation and Other Costs

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the customer is responsible for transportation of the pump to our designated inspection or service location. Installation, removal, reinstallation, site visits, labour, shutdown, and other site-related costs are not included in this warranty.

9. Limitation and Final Terms

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the warranty is limited to repair, replacement, or another corrective action for an eligible defective barrel pump or covered component. It does not automatically cover indirect or consequential losses, including production loss, downtime, loss of revenue, or damage to other equipment.

This policy applies together with the relevant quotation, order confirmation, and product documentation. Specific written warranty terms for an individual order will prevail to the extent of any inconsistency. Ambica Machine Tools may revise this policy from time to time.
